Summer provides a change of pace at First and a chance for community members to explore some of the sights of Vancouver. Summer outings are popular with those who frequent our building and also those who live First United’s apartments east of the church. Trips to the Vancouver Aquarium, to Buntzen Lake, to Deep Cove and to the movies provide opportunities for community members to get to know each other better and to build support relationships in the First United community.
During the winter months, the focus is on finding the sunshine and the snow! Trips are organized to the North Shore mountains for snowshoeing and tobogganing.
