The downtown eastside continues to be the poorest postal code in Canada. There is an urgent need to break the cycle of homelessness, mental illness, addiction and poverty that afflicts this area. To do that, we need to build a greater sense of belonging and hope. And the first step towards that is to end homelessness.

That is our continuing goal, but to achieve it, we need the help of the larger community around us. By purchasing one of these CDs you help to make that happen.

May the music fill our hearts and minds and souls. As the voices and instruments blend to shape visions of harmony and hope, may we dream of a time when all know they belong. As the rhythm captures and moves us, may we become part of the irresistible momentum for change. As the words sometimes soothe us and sometimes energise us, may they comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.
