Happy New Year Everyone,
As the door closes on 2017, I write with a grateful heart of thanks to all of you who saw us through all the year’s triumphs and challenges.
Thank you to everyone who participated in our holiday fundraising campaign that kicked off on Giving Tuesday, November 28th – in the end, we raised over $48,500 or 125% of our goal! A huge thanks also goes to all of you who became monthly donors – because of you, we are able to budget ahead of time and leverage your money in the most effective ways because we know we can count on it streaming in regularly every month. Finally, thank you to everyone who made a donation of in-kind items, volunteer time, or love and well wishes – you have filled our hearts and kept our energy to serve soaring high.
Because of you, we are able to continue to provide the services and programs that meet neighbourhood folks with the dignity and respect we all deserve. More and more, our work is also targeting the bigger social systems, policies, institutions, and beliefs that perpetuate inequality in our community – we wouldn’t be able to do this work without you.
Blessings for 2018,
The Rev. Dr. Carmen Lansdowne
