Volunteering

Giving the gift of time makes an important difference to First United, and the work we’re able to accomplish together. We accept volunteers in many program areas including community help desk, fundraising, tax program, kitchen, and special events throughout the year including our Golf Tournament and lecture series. Our base of operations is located in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, at 320 East Hastings Street, with satellite offices in the surrounding neighbourhood.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we aren’t currently scheduling on-site volunteers. However, we are still accepting volunteer applications for when we’re able to reinstate in-person volunteer opportunities, when it is safe to do so. We encourage you to submit your information and interest in volunteering and we’ll reach out to you when opportunities arise.
