Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.

– Romans 15:7

Communities of Faith

A sanctuary within our community.

At First United, we believe Jesus would welcome all people just as they are, without judgement or expectation. We continue to offer a community ministry with pastoral care to a community grappling with trauma, grief and oppression.

By becoming a Community of Faith, you can support the ongoing work to provide the Downtown Eastside community with a space to connect with our faith, and each other, for hope and healing.

As part of our Communities of Faith program, you’ll receive invitations to participate in our Advent series and other activities regarding the progress of the Redevelopment Capital Campaign. Community donations of $5,000+ are listed on our website and in our annual report.

Help us move First Forward

We’re at a critical moment, called to renew the foundation and structure of our mission and ministry. We’re redeveloping our site at 320 E Hastings street into a multi-storey, purpose-built space, and we need your help to do it.

We invite your community of faith to join us in moving First Forward and supporting this ambitious $30 million capital campaign. You can help by creating your own fundraising team with your congregation. Learn more and create your team below:
