Food Security

Feeding over 350 community members a day, our meal program provides nutritious and delicious meals to fuel the body and foster connection. During the redevelopment of our building at 320 East Hastings Street, we’ve transitioned to an innovative new approach to serving meals and promoting food security: the FIRST Food Truck program! Our mobile fleet will ensure that the 350 meals we currently serve each day continue to reach those in need.

Nobody should have to choose between eating or paying their rent. Our kitchen services team works hard to cook delicious and varied meals so anyone who comes to our doors isn’t put in that position. Having a full belly and good nourishment are some of the first steps we take to help people thrive.

We provide meal service daily in the Downtown Eastside (at the corner of Gore and Hastings St. at lunchtime) from our FIRST Food Truck.

To help provide healthy and hearty meals to make sure nobody in our community goes hungry, donate now or sign up to volunteer as a lunch volunteer.
